Silicon aluminum bronze combines the self-lubricity of the silicon with the higher mechanical properties of aluminum bronze.

It is sometimes used in place of C63000 nickel aluminum bronze where specifications permit. C64200 silicon aluminum bronze is free-machining and has good anti-galling and anti-seizing properties.

Applications for Silicon Aluminum Bronze:
Popular applications for silicon aluminum bronze are landing gear parts, strut bushings, rock bit bearing bushings, valve guides, safety belt assemblies, pole line hardware, valve and pump components, cams, hooks, forged machined components, and many more. Industries such as aerospace, oil and gas, automotive, electrical, marine, and others all utilize silicon aluminum bronze.
